Resuming from their overnight score of 365 for 5, Pakistan added a further 150 runs to their total, finishing the day on 515 for 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day began with Naseem Shah, the nightwatchman, playing a solid knock of 33 before being dismissed by Brydon Carse. Mohammed Rizwan was also dismissed cheaply, caught at mid-off for a duck. However, Salman and Saud Shakeel steadied the ship with a half-century partnership. Shakeel, who fell just 18 runs short of a century, was dismissed by Jack Leach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Lunch, Salman continued his impressive form, hitting a couple of boundaries against Leach. Despite a brief scare when he was almost caught by Chris Woakes, Salman remained unbeaten. He was well-supported by Shaheen Afridi, as the duo added an unbeaten half-century partnership for the ninth wicket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>England&#8217;s bowlers struggled to make inroads into Pakistan&#8217;s batting lineup, with Carse and Leach picking up two wickets each.
