Reigning champs Chennai Super Lords will have Illustrious Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2024 opener at the Mama Chidambaram arena in Chennai on Walk 22. The Gujarat Titans, the other team in contention for the 2023 season, will begin their campaign with a dominant victory over the Mumbai Indians, led by former captain Hardik Pandya, on March 24 in Ahmedabad.
The BCCI delivered an incomplete timetable for the 2024 season – for the initial 17 days (Walk 22 to April 7) during which 21 matches will be played across 10 urban communities. There will be four doubleheaders played during this time.
Punjab Lords and Delhi Capitals will play the primary evening apparatus of the time on Walk 23 in Mohali, while Kolkata Knight Riders’ season starts at home against Sunrisers Hyderabad later around the same time. This first period of the time won’t have any coordinates in Delhi with the Delhi Capitals playing their two home games in Vizag. After the Election Commission of India announces the dates for the General Election, the BCCI is expected to announce the remaining schedule.
