Johannesburg, South Africa – South African fast bowler Ottneil Baartman has been ruled out of the third and final ODI against Pakistan, scheduled for Sunday at the Wanderers in Johannesburg.
Baartman, who claimed two wickets in the first ODI, sustained a right knee injury. He experienced discomfort during warm-up for the second match and was subsequently omitted from the playing XI. All-rounder Corbin Bosch has been named as his replacement.
The 31-year-old will return home for further evaluation of his injury. This setback comes a day after left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj was also ruled out of the series due to a left abductor strain.
Baartman will next be seen in action for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the upcoming SAT20.
Pakistan have already secured an insurmountable 2-0 lead in the series following convincing victories in Cape Town on Thursday and Paarl two days earlier.
